Timberwolves Screwed Up Again By Letting Derrick Rose Leave

Derrick Rose's new book, "I'll Show You"

I have been waiting since June for Derrick Rose's book, "I'll Show You" (2019 Triumph Books LLC) to be released. When I got up today, I remembered that the book was released today. I paid just over $30 (with tax) for the first book I have bought in over 20 years but, I got it and immediately soaked up every word written in Chapter 14. That is the chapter that Rose mostly talked about his time in Minnesota. My reaction to what he had to say about the team and where he was in his life as a person and his team.... 'WOW!' 'The Wolves sure screwed up by not re-signing him!'

NBA Media Unfairly Labels Minnesota As 'Too Cold' For NBA Free Agents To Consider

Minnesota isn't the only cold weather NBA city

Fans of the Minnesota Timberwolves have heard it since the franchise joined the league in 1989... The top free agents won't sign with Minnesota because, of the cold, brutal, frigid winters.
Just last week on another sports blog, Sir Charles In Charge wrote:

"Acquiring star talent is difficult at the best of times – being in a small market, cold-weather city adds layers of difficulty to an equation already problematic."
It didn't help when former Timberwolves President of Basketball Operations and arguably the worst Wolves boss in franchise history, David Kahn said after he was fired about the factors involved with the team not drafting Steph Curry...

A Potential 3-Team Trade Involving Andrew Wiggins and Chris Paul

I recently posted a comment on one of the other Wolves blogs about a potential 3-team trade that would send Andrew Wiggins on his way. The trade would move Chris Paul from the Oklahoma City Thunder and bring back Tim Hardaway Jr. from Dallas.

There have been rumors swirling around involving the Wolves and Minnesota being a landing spot for Paul. Let me be clear by saying that I really like Paul as a player but, I really DON'T like the idea of him playing for the Timberwolves. I don't see him being a good fit with the Wolves.

At the same time, I really DON'T like Andrew Wiggins and his work ethic (or lack thereof). I had held out hope for Wiggins turning into a star player but, I finally looked beyond all the negative stats that he has had with the team and am now of the opinion that Wiggins will never develop into the player so many of us fans had hoped he would. He may very well become a star in the NBA but, I am convinced it won't be in Minnesota.

Timberwolves Stuck In NBA Purgatory, Retiring Kevin Garnett's Number 21 Would Help Bring Franchise Back To Life

We, Timberwolves fans have read it so many times about the team only making the playoffs once in the past 15 years. That is really pathetic but, it is fitting. It’s the truth. Over the last 15 seasons, the team has really sucked. The team hasn’t been relevant since before the only superstar player was traded away to the Celtics for a few draft picks, a few underwhelming players and a toaster. Ok, the toaster wasn’t included but, it should have been.

The truth of the matter is the team has been drowning in NBA Purgatory ever since Kevin McHale traded away the biggest, most talented player to ever play for the Wolves…. Kevin Garnett.
